HEIFER STATION WINES

1034 The Escort Way, Orange, NSW
Hours: Mon-Sun 11 am- 5 pm

Heifer Station: Heifer Station vineyard is situated between 860-900m elevation on the undulating slopes of Mt Canobolas. Pinot Noir was planted in the vineyard in 1999 and 2012 using the MV6 clone. Recent plantings include 667, Q932 and 777.

Heifer Station Pinot Noir is an elegant Pinot Noir that displays sour cherry, aromatic strawberry and raspberry characters throughout. A soft, yet medium textured wine, with a lovely subtle complexity and lasting palate.

Vineyard | Orange, NSW (860-900m elevation)

Varieties | 100% Pinot Noir

Bouquet | Sour cherry, aromatic strawberry, raspberry.

Palate | A lovely medium ruby red colour, tending to light around the edges, the palate is a soft, yet medium textured wine, with subtle complexity and lasting palate.

Serving suggestions | 7-10 years under ideal conditions.

MONUMENT VINEYARD

Hours: 7 days a week

Only a 15-minute drive from the centre of Orange – to discover the wines of Monument Vineyard at the Borenore Store (you can get a nice bite to eat and some local produce there too.).
The lovely Jones family produce just a small (but increasing) selection of wines including a luscious and fruity Verdelho, a Cabernet Sauvignon, a Shiraz and – rather excitingly – a Nebbiolo.

PATINA WINES

The back area is well set up for tasting and provides very elegant surroundings in which to sample their equally elegant Rieslings, Chardonnays, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir.

Strawhouse Wines is a cellar door and boutique apartment located on the Strawhouse vineyard in the cool-climate Orange Wine Region, NSW, Australia. Strawhouse is owned and operated by Justin Byrne & Meg Simpson. They make small amounts of fine wine under the Strawhouse label.

Their tasting room is open at the beautiful Strawhouse property on the northern slopes of Mt Canobolas. Book in and enjoy the chic-shed aesthetic of the tasting room set amongst the trees of the property.

There’ll be a fire for the cool days, or you can pull up a pew on the sunny deck overlooking the vineyard and the beautiful vista of the Boree Creek Valley.
