The Anther Distillery, Geelong’s local distillery, is a place of wonder for the cocktail and spirit lover.

Just five minutes from Geelong CBD and an hour from Melbourne, The Anther Distillery is housed in the historical Federal Woollen Mills, built in 1915 in North Geelong.

What they have put together in Geelong is a bit like Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory… but for beer. A true brewery village experience, with a bustling Canteen, mysterious White Rabbit Barrel Hall and the colourful Mystery Lane. True to form, you can grab a fresh beer, a bite to eat inside or out and watch the brewers racing around doing their thing. You’ll stumble upon fun activations, brilliant beer launches and mystery markets throughout the year.

Whether you’re after a relaxed lunch or dinner with a bunch of mates, family, colleagues or a fancy function, we’ve got you sorted.

FUNCTIONS AT THE BREWERY

Our Little Creatures Canteen operates as a full service venue, we take online bookings and also operate as a walk in venue. We take bookings for groups of up to 60 people and have a range of set menu options available. Group bookings in the canteen take place amongst the hustle and bustle of the venue as we do not have an exclusive space available.

White Rabbit Barrel Hall is a beautiful space and is available for exclusive use.

Furphy Hall is our fabulous function and event space on site. Furphy Hall can cater for up to 150 guests for a sit-down dinner, or 200 for a stand-up cocktail style event.

Both Furphy Hall and White Rabbit Barrel Hall are the perfect space for your next corporate event or the perfect Wedding Reception venue.

Supported by family and friends, Obsidian grew in popularity and in 2019 Scott and Ange opened the beloved Valhalla Taproom on Union St in Geelong. Fast forward to 2021, and Obsidian is awarded the AIBA award for Best Stout/Porter!
