BELL RIVER ESTATE WINERY

The Bell River Estate is located 15 kilometres south of Wellington on the Mitchell Highway, Neurea.
The Cellars were developed by the Reinhard family and specialised in producing quality fortified wines (Ports and Sherries) and red wine, predominantly Shiraz.
In June 2000, the business was purchased by Sandra and Mick Banks and with the sale came the name change to Bell River Estate. In January 2001, the focus of the business has not fundamentally changed with perhaps a little more emphasis on marketing table wines to a broader spectrum of country-based customers.
Wine is sold at the cellar door and through local pubs, clubs and restaurants while bulk wine is shipped to many parts of New South Wales.
The warmer climate of Neurea allows grapes to develop a higher sugar content perfect for the production of fortified wines (formally called ports) including tawny and white fortifieds for which Bell River Estate has become well known.

The ominously named Tombstone Estate has been established by Rod and Patty Tilling, who have planted shiraz, sangiovese, muscat, cabernet sauvignon and barbera. The wine is made onsite, and the cellar door offers barbecue and picnic facilities.
Set on 1.85 hectares Tombstone Estate Wines produces shiraz, sangiovese, muscat, cabernet sauvignon and barbera.
Come relax and enjoy tasting their premium hand picked and traditionally grown wine at Tombstone Estate Vineyard and Rose Gardens, while overlooking the tranquil Old World Rose Garden. They are located just five kilometres from town on the Mitchell Highway, at Basalt Road. They are open five days a week.
