Brindabella Hills Winery is a 25-minute drive from Canberra but a world away from city life. The vineyard was established in 1986 and is situated on a granite ridge high above the Murrumbidgee River. Brindabella Hills produces a variety of award-winning wines including Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc Semillon, Chardonnay, Cabernet and Shiraz.
Their Vineyard Cafe serves lunch at weekends and on public holidays. Bookings essential.

Visit Capital Wines Cellar Door to taste their wine, share a cheese plate or experience epicurean tastings of matched wine and food. Their friendly staff are pleased to conduct wine tastings and assist with wine purchases. We are open 10:30 am – 5 pm Thursday to Sunday and most public holidays.
Capital Wines Cellar Door can be found in Hall Village just a short 15-minute drive from the centre of Canberra, on the way to Murrumbateman and Hall Wineries. It’s an easy highlight to include in small group tours. Maximum group tasting 15 people. Group bookings are essential.

It has been a remarkable journey for Clonakilla. When John Kirk planted the first vines in 1971 he had no idea that his vineyard would one day be celebrated as one of the best in the country. Along the way there have been trials and tribulations as well as moments of unprecedented success.

Helm Wines tasting room is the 1888 Toual Public School House which is listed by the National Trust and was the inspiration for the school bell featured on our label. It was once used for meetings of the Temperance League, where locals signed the pledge against alcohol.
Located approximately 30km north of Canberra, the rural setting is the perfect backdrop for tasting quality wines and learning about the art of wine making.
The cellar door is inside a cute old public schoolhouse with a nice little verandah. There are also picnic tables and chairs situated around the cellar door under the large pine trees and looking over the vineyards

Mount Majura Vineyard is a 9.3-hectare vineyard located in the Canberra District Wine region only 15 minutes from the Canberra city centre. Cellar door open 7 days, book for wine tasting.
Tastings cost $15, paid at booking, and include a small plate of cheese and charcuterie (a vegan option is available also). Been here for a tasting recently? Speak to their staff on the day to enjoy a glass of wine instead of the wine tasting (no extra charge).
